If we really want to know the mind of Christ we will remember when Jesus was on the cross He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Jesus didn’t spend time “chewing” on the offenses done to Him. He carried no grudges to the grave. His love was so great, forgiveness was spontaneous and complete. Why then should we not do the same?

A frequent prayer of mine is, “Father, help me be more like Jesus.” I don’t present a list of Jesus’ character qualities to God with the prayer. I simply ask to be like Jesus. (Praying in the YES of God – page 154-155)
