An effective prayer life is linked to faith. Exercising both our faith and prayer communication together, bring us into a closer relationship with our Lord. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV)

James 4:2 tells us “We have not because we ask not.” God does not respond to our prayers if we are unwilling to do our part. God does not encourage us to expect something for nothing. We need to watch and pray; obey and pray, knowing that God will answer our prayers for our best good… even if that means withholding for our best interest. (Praying in the YES of God – page 88)
